Our Labs
Our puppies mean the world to us. You will not find our beautiful puppies kept outside in the weather in filthy unkempt cages. We love our dogs inside and only let them out to take care of business and to play. With that said crate training is a must not only for training purposes, but also for your dogs well being. We believe in handling our puppies as much as possible and also working with them to learn behaviors. Both of our lab parents are extremely smart and we expect their puppies to be just as smart. We will be working on potty training, fetching, and weather permitting some water activities.
The Breed
When you come to visit us to select your puppy we request that you make sure to allow for plenty of time so you can be sure that you choose the right family member to compliment your new home, but also to make sure that you understand the breed. Labradors are an excellent breed. They are one of the smartest breeds, able to learn commands usually within 2-3 repetitions. They are also excellent with children and other animals(including cats). They make great companions for fowl hunters. One of our puppies is going through duck training at the moment. Labradors require and demand your attention and may act out if you choose to ignore them. They are on the average very well behaved and do learn quickly what to get into and what not to get into.

Once we post pictures and information about the puppies they will be for sale on a first come, first serve basis. Chocolate and Yellow labs are the two rarer of the colors and therefore will have a higher premium. We do accept deposits to reserve the dog of your choice, but we do honestly request that you meet your puppy before just choosing based on color. When we chose Hans, we did so based on his temperament. Out of all of his siblings, he was the calmest. We would pick him up and he would relax and go limp. When we would pick up any of the other puppies (and there were many) they would all squirm and want down. There were so many black ones they all looked alike, but every time we would pick him up he was the only one to relax and he has been that way ever since.
We cannot stress the importance of choosing your new family member carefully. Bring your children or maybe even your other pet so you can see how well they might get along. We want to make sure that the puppy you take home will be the perfect match for your family and we encourage you to shop around to make sure that you do not just settle on a breed. We believe that the perfect match between owner and puppy is achievable through careful selection.
Still not sure about us?
The proof is in the pictures, (every picture you see on our blog/Facebook is one of ours or a close relative) but also go check out our Facebook page. There you will find all of our puppies that have been born so far and their new family members. We keep in touch with our new extended family members and ask (okay, okay demand, lol) updated pictures from time to time, but yet we step back and let you enjoy your new family member. We love hearing about everything from lost teeth to first days in obedience school to the first time they go to the beach. We feel that we offer a great value and are not simply here to sell you a dog that we will never see or hear from again. There are plenty of those out there already.
